OHC has five membership categories. Please review the descriptions below to select the one that best fits your organization or individual status.

Full Membership (Platinum, Gold, Silver)

Full Membership is intended for:

• Developers, owners, managers, or builders of multifamily or single-family housing
• Underwriters, syndicators, investors, and lenders
• Architects, law firms, accountants, insurers, consultants, brokers, and market analysts
• Homeless advocates and other housing professionals

Platinum and Gold Membership are available to all organizations that meet the above criteria.

Silver Membership is available only to a limited subset of organizations:

• Women Business Enterprises (WBEs) – At least 51% owned and controlled by a woman who is an Ohio resident
• Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) – At least 51% owned and controlled for more than one year by an African American, Asian, Hispanic, or Native American (for-profit organizations) or led for more than one year by an Ohio resident from one of these groups (nonprofits)
• Community Development Corporations (CDCs) – Must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a defined geographic focus, active resident involvement, and a track record in affordable housing

Additionally, Silver members must have completed no more than three LIHTC developments in the last ten years and no more than one in the previous year.

Only Full Members (Platinum, Gold, and Silver) are eligible to serve on the Board of Trustees.

Other Membership Categories

• Associate Membership – Available only to individuals who were previously engaged in the affordable housing industry but are no longer employed in it.
• Affiliate Membership – For organizations that work with the affordable housing industry but do not qualify for Full Membership.

How to Apply

1. Complete the membership application form below. Based on your responses, the form will indicate which membership levels you are eligible to apply for.
2. Select your preferred membership level in the form.
3. Then, select the same membership level in the "Select An Option" section of this webpage.
